Willy Chavarria, the conceptual fashion label with a cinematic approach to design and presentation based in New York, introduces his first denim focused collection named DIRTY WILLY DENIM. 

The collection utilizes the most water saving and sustainable techniques in denim manufacture, as it implements our transforming and innovative technologies as Çalık Denim.

Embracing our purpose to design denim collections with innovative approaches, we collaborate with local artisans as well as the world's leading brands and designers. Along the lines of our vision and purpose, we have collaborated with One Square Meter, Turkey’s leading slow fashion designer brand, which creates hand-crafted goods for simple living. Designing artisan denim dreams dedicated to sustainable experiences and garments for simple living has been a significant experience. Our consciously created collection was showcased at Denim Days Festival in Amsterdam on 25th – 26th October 2019. 

We have excitedly partnered with Art Comes First, which had started as a brand consultant and has become one of the most interesting and creative brands in men’s wear within the last decade.

Together we have re-envisioned what sustainability means from creative conception to production. Shunning the temporary nature of collaborations, the relationships fostered with Art Comes First consists of a partnership founded on mutually respect & beneficial objectives: Lowering environmental impact in production & maintaining the creative viability of the artists’ and manufactures’ capacity to cross-pollinate their methods for the greater good of the people and the environment.

The first collection of this partnership, “Rebel in the Blue Jeans” was teased in Complexcon, Milan, Paris & CPH Fashion Weeks and it will be proudly showcased in Japan.

Proudly participating in the Global Denim Awards in partnership with Gülçin Çengel, one of the finest young designers of Turkey, we have decided to further collaborate with our inspiring and successful designer. ART-IFICIAL, the collection Gülçin had presented for Global Denim Awards  had been acknowledged as an international success. By expanding her collection with added pieces, Gülçin made a capsule wardrobe for us. The collection was widely acclaimed along with our additional concepts such as Oxygene, Botanical Sense and Elastech.

We’ve enthusiastically participated in the Global Denim Awards once more this year for a new, exquisite experience. For this exciting initiative, uniquely uniting designers and denim manufacturers, we have collaborated with Emre Aktuna, founder of Outkast People fashion brand. “Burn the Witch” capsule collection was beautifully created and showcased in October; highlighting our passion for sustainable and ecology-friendly production via sustainable fabric choices and the inspiring story of sustainability behind the collection.
